Evolt was founded in 2005 supplying private labelled products to major brands. Evolt started to also provide power accessories and leads within Australia and New Zealand under its own brand and exported bathroom heaters from China.

Atom: Specialising in lighting and air movement products

Established in 2010, Atom Lighting quickly became to the industry leader of domestic LED lighting in Queensland. The company’s growth expanded across Australia, ensuring its innovative lighting solutions became a staple in the inventory of top wholesalers nationwide.

In 2022, Atom Lighting broadened its horizon with the introduction of Atom Air, venturing into air movement solutions. This expansion included an impressive lineup of 3-in-1 bathroom heaters, exhaust fans, and ceiling fans, marking a new chapter in Atom’s journey of innovation.

Ektor: Specialising in emergency lighting products and systems

Evolt has established its Ektor brand as a leader in emergency lighting, known for innovative and high-quality solutions. Launching the Generation III emergency lighting platforms in 2015, Ektor set a benchmark worldwide. The new Generation IV platforms build upon this success with even greater technological improvements. It’s at the forefront in Australia and New Zealand in commercial lighting solutions, introducing LED exit signs, troffers, integrated sensors, the first DALI range, and advanced wireless standards, including the pioneering DALI-2 certified emergency exit light. These features under the Ektor brand highlight Evolt’s dedication to enhancing safety and innovation in emergency lighting.

Evolt has strategically acquired Harcroft Lighting and Xulux, enriching the Ektor brand with decades of specialised knowledge, quality craftsmanship, and robust manufacturing systems.

Harcroft Lighting: Eight Decades of Excellence

For over 80 years, Harcroft Lighting has been a leader in Australian manufacturing, providing cost-effective, high-quality lighting solutions for various sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail, medical, strata residential, hospitality, and government projects. Known for its dedication to Australian-made products, Harcroft transformed Australian sheet metal into custom luminaires at its New South Wales factory, ensuring every product met the highest standards. Their expertise in troffers, battens, panels, and high bays was built on a foundation of innovation and customisation.

Xulux: Expertise in Custom LED Extrusions

Xulux specialised in custom LED extrusions, delivering a wide range of projects that showcased its technical prowess and commitment to quality. Their bespoke solutions and innovative designs made Xulux a valuable addition to Evolt’s portfolio.

Continuing the Legacy

Tim and David Uther, who led Harcroft Lighting before retiring in 2022, left behind a legacy of passion for cost-effective and customised lighting solutions. This legacy, along with Xulux’s innovative spirit, continues to thrive through the Ektor brand under Evolt’s stewardship.

Evolt’s commitment to maintaining the high standards and heritage of these iconic brands ensures that the knowledge, quality, and systems developed over decades are preserved and enhanced.
